It was 1960 when the young pastry chef Bruno Casaschi took over the pastry shop in Strada Nuova where he had been an apprentice for over 10 years and renamed it with his name: Pasticceria Casaschi was born.Bruno continues to produce the recipes that his old boss has handed down to him ( and which date back to the Italian tradition of the 19th century) but renews and reinterprets them with dedication, creativity and hard work. One product is particularly successful: the puffs. Casaschi begins to produce new flavors, at the same time personalizes the recipe making it even softer and delicate. The success is immediate and extraordinary: in Pavia everyone wants Casaschi cream puffs. In 1995, Mr. Bruno thinks that the time has come to leave space for young people and finds in Giuseppe Fornaro and his wife Maria Rosaria the right people to entrust the: they bought the Casaschi shop and brand and decided to keep all the original employees to continue the Casaschi artisan tradition, starting from that moment on a path that will lead on one hand to protect the secrets of Mr. Bruno and on the other to expand and modernizing the range of products, keeping quality unchanged. Other stores are opened in strategic areas of Pavia and the laboratory is expanded up to 200 square meters. In 2009, their sons Paolo and Federico start working in the company to continue the tradition and ferry it to the future. Today Casaschi is still the number 1 pastry shop in Pavia with its three shops and a large artisan production workshop, the flavors of and the puffs have become 45 and the traditional product lines have been combined with the modern ones.
